Telecommunications companies need telecommunications tower technicians to keep their networks up and running. Without the service of a tower technician, the company would not be able to maintain network services or customer service.
Qualifications and skills of telecommunication tower technicians:

Most companies generally require that telecommunications tower technicians have post-secondary training in electronics, telecommunications, or computer science. Training at a technical college or an associate's diploma in electronic or computer repair can be very useful.

Several companies offer training to new employees on site to keep them abreast of the latest operational requirements as a qualified telecommunications tower technician. Others, however, may require that candidates have between one and two years of climbing tower experience before facing it.
Average tower technician salary:

Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the average lathe technician earns about USD 56,000 a year, or USD 27.43 per hour. Salaries range from 31 190 to 78.930 USD, depending on the company and the level of experience of the technician.
