Certification for Fiber Optic Technicians

Fiber optic technology has been around for some time, simplifying communication and information transfer. One of the best examples - a landline - may fall a little when used in a residential environment, but technology that allows the use of a landline is far from obsolete and, in a sense, developing.

Professional military installation (MFOI). Certified military optical fiber specialists have certificates of ability to install, test and troubleshoot optical systems according to military standards. This certificate includes the use of tactical fiber optic connector kits (TFOCA) and military standards for their application.

Certified fiber optic technician (FOT). The FOT certificate is intended for those who work on solving problems with fiber optic networks. They are certified to solve problems with different cable systems with a combination of fibers, connectors and fabrics in the case of typical problems.

Fiber optic designer (FPS). This certificate confirms knowledge of local optical networks, with the ability to design a successful fiber optic system with network protocols, optical cabling, network configurations, industrial communication standards, equipment selection, fiber optic determination, methods division / termination, testing and documentation of cable systems

Data cabling installer (DCIC) certification. DCIC confirms the knowledge needed to install and resolve problems with speech and data output at workstations and telecommunications rooms. Skills for those who are certified include cabling trajectories and spaces, how to work with service providers, understand different types of cabling and evaluate work and how projects are implemented. DCIC installers know how to repair, split and terminate cables or update existing networks.
